THE LEGO GROUP ONLINE CODE OF CONDUCT – FOR KIDS

Last update: 23. April 2024

This special set of rules is for everyone who comes to visit any of our LEGO Group websites or apps. It's like a big list of things we all need to do when we're here. If someone doesn't follow these rules, there might be some consequences, like not being able to visit some of our other websites or apps for a while. We'll make sure to update this list if we need to change anything, so remember to come back and check it from time to time!

Purpose

We want everyone to have lots of fun and feel happy when they share or chat on our websites and apps. It's okay if we all think differently, but it's super important that everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected. It's not nice to be unkind to others when we're online. If we see someone being mean to others on our websites or apps, we'll step in and stop it. We really need your help too! If you see anyone not being nice or breaking these rules, please tell us. Together, we can make sure our websites and apps are safe and fun for everyone. Will you join us in making the LEGO Group’s online world amazing for everyone?

Rules

  • Be kind to others. Treat everyone online with respect, don't be mean, bully, swear, or bother others. Being mean is never cool.
  • Keep your comments and posts positive and kind. Our websites and apps are happy places! Don't post anything mean or inappropriate for kids of any age. That means no hurtful comments or things that could make someone feel bad.
  • Don’t harass other people.  It's not okay to bother or tease others just because they're different. We should never make fun of someone for being different than you, coming from another place, or speaking a different language. Everyone is special, and being mean is never right.
  • Scaring or bothering others online is not okay. Things like threatening, scaring, bothering, or making someone uncomfortable are not allowed. If you do something that makes others scared or uncomfortable, we might have to remove what you posted. If you keep scaring or bothering others, we might have to pause or stop you from using your LEGO account.
  • We don't want anything illegal on our websites or apps. If you post something that shows something against the law, we can't have it on our websites or apps, and we'll take it away and report it to the proper authorities if we need to.
  • Be Respectful and Give Credit: Always ask before using someone else’s photos or words and say who made them. If we find out you used someone else's stuff without asking, we’ll have to take it down.
  • Do not advertise, preach, or campaign.  Keep it Fun! Our sites are for having a blast! Please don't talk about serious stuff like ads, big ideas, or things like politics or secrets. We’ll remove any posts about those things.
  • Do not share confidential information.  Keep Secrets Safe and don't spill the beans on secret stuff, like new LEGO sets or other people's private things. Accounts might get in trouble if they share secret stuff.
  • Post as yourself. Always be you! Don't pretend to be someone else or say you know things you don't.
  • Keep Things Private: Think before you post!  Don't share personal stuff about others or yourself, like emails or phone numbers or even photos of people. It's important to keep everyone's info safe. Talk to your parent or caregiver about what kind of information is ok to share, and what should be kept to yourself.
  • Be Honest and Fair: Never try to fool or trick others. Being honest is cool! Don't lie about your age or try to do anything sneaky to get special privileges.

  • Play Fair and Stay Safe: Don’t try to get into our computer stuff. It's important to play by the rules and not try to do anything that could hurt our computer systems.
  • Our Team Keeps Things Fair: We have awesome moderators who make sure everyone plays by the rules.  Breaking rules has consequences, and if you keep breaking the rules, or do something not cool online, we might have to pause or stop your LEGO fun.  And remember: trying to avoid getting in trouble for breaking rules is also breaking the rules. Let's all stick to playing fair!

Where to go for help

Hey there! If you see something that doesn't seem right on our websites or apps, tell us! Here's how:

  • Ask your parents to help you report a post by asking them to click here: Customer Service
  • Use the “Report” button on a specific post

Our moderators will try to get back to you really quick, usually within a day! Thanks for helping us keep everything awesome!

Don’t abuse the reporting system.  Using the report button is important for telling us about things that aren’t okay. But if you keep reporting things that aren’t really against the rules, it can bother other players. This isn’t following the rules. If you keep doing this, we might have to pause or stop your account. Let’s make sure we only report things that really need attention!
