This month LEGO designers Ben and Amy have been busy expanding their LEGO Super Mario universe from an unexpected source – the brick bin! They’ve been putting those red, blue, green and purple bricks to very creative use, and the result is a course like nothing you’ve ever seen before! No spoilers...but let’s just say that LEGO Mario’s picnic takes a turn for the worse when some unwelcome guests turn up! LEGO Super Mario fans (and your friends) need to check this out – don’t forget to use the tagging function so they can see it!

Dorrie's Sunken Shipwreck Adventure Expansion Set

Search for treasure in the underwater world! Ride on a Dorrie with LEGO® Mario™, LEGO® Luigi™ or LEGO® Peach™ (figures not included) and explore the shipwreck. Oh no! The treasure chest is locked so you must find the key. Look under the ship’s mast, but don’t get chomped by the Cheep Chomp! Spin the platform to open the clamshell and reveal the Key Block. Open the treasure chest and get the gem!

LEGO® Mario™ purple poison mystery!

LEGO® Mario™ is on an adventure! But it’s not long before he meets one of his enemies. See if you can use the clues below to work out who it is... As LEGO Mario gets closer – he sees the enemy! It’s standing in a purple, Poison Swamp, uh-oh! He’ll need to use the raft to cross... To defeat it, he’ll need to do something special. This enemy is twice as long as some of the others! Jumping on a platform, LEGO Mario wiggles from side to side and begins shaking his enemy! Finally, he slams down on top of it. The enemy is defeated! A nearby bridge unfurls... Did you work out which enemy LEGO Mario was facing? Comment with your guess and tag a friend who might know the answer! But did you know you can also use your existing LEGO bricks to take your LEGO Super Mario play to the next level? Try these tips for size... You can use any LEGO bricks, but try using red, green, yellow, blue and purple especially. That’s because the color sensor in LEGO Mario’s feet will recognize the color, making the screens on his belly and face react in different, fun ways! Use blue bricks to create a water planet, red to create a fiery lava world, green for a fantastic forest adventure... or a cool combo! Customize your levels around your characters! Use your brick bin to build a wall for Cat Mario to scale or a suuuuuper long platform for Penguin Mario to slide on his belly! Use your bricks to change the shape of your course.
