Spacesuit Facts

A spacesuit may not look as comfortable as a hoodie and jeans, but it allows astronauts to survive the extreme temperatures and dangerous radiation of space – and even safely scratch their noses when on a spacewalk. Are you ready to have your mind explode like a supernova? Check out these 5 cool facts about spacesuits! • Spacesuits are customized by connecting many interchangeable parts that fit different body types. Even dogs have worn spacesuits! • Astronauts wear white spacesuits because this color reflects the most sunlight and protects from cancer-causing radiation (and a sunburn in space would REALLY hurt!) • Spacesuits protect astronauts on spacewalks from extreme temperatures and allow them to move around comfortably. When the weather is this crazy, you can’t just wear a t-shirt! • A spacesuit weighs about 280 lbs when on Earth – without anyone in it. In space it weighs absolutely nothing, which means that astronauts can move around rather easily. • What happens if an astronaut gets an itchy nose while on a spacewalk? Since they cannot remove their helmet, there is a small piece of Velcro stuck to the inside that serves as a scratcher! If you plan to explore Mars, you will definitely need a spacesuit! What special functions and features will you include in yours? Better start building!

Dr. Flieber! Doctor Flieber is soap-opera melodramatic. In other words, she makes a big deal of most things! She’s also endlessly optimistic and passionately committed to curing every illness. A fact she frequently announces, before being joined by her colleague Doctor Spetzel to exclaim “This we swear!”. On a more worrying note, Dr. Flieber’s most often used phrase is “I’m not a specialist in this area, but…”, which does lead some patients to doubt whether she really is a doctor!

Enjoy the good life at the LEGO® City Apartment Building. This place is awesome! It has a convenience store where you can buy essential goods and tasty slushies, a modern living room with a sofa and TV, a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy bedroom and a bathroom with a toilet and bathtub. There’s even an outdoor pool and a rooftop terrace with a barbecue and palm tree. Let’s go!

Burger Truck

Load up the burger truck and head for the hipster district of LEGO® City. Fold up the service hatch to display your flame-grilled burger sign, hop into the prep area and serve the city’s hottest fast food to the coolest customers in town. When you’re done, jump behind the wheel and drive this awesome mobile takeout to the next location!

Dr. Spetzel! Dr. Spetzel is over-dramatic and emotional… not perfect characteristics for a doctor! His most used phrase, much to the horror of his patients, is “I’ve never seen a case worse than this!” usually delivered in a highly dramatic fashion, no matter if it’s hiccups or just a bad hair day! Dr. Spetzel’s moments of triumph are invariably followed by disaster, but a pep talk with his colleague Dr. Flieber always puts him back on track – ending with a commitment to cure every illness and their slogan “This we swear!”.

Police Speedboat and Crooks' Hideout

Join the officer aboard the police speedboat and head for the LEGO® City harbor where 2 of the city’s most wanted crooks have built a hideout amid the maze of old shipping containers. But beware… this crooks’ den is filled with hidden surprises, including their faithful bulldog, a bucket-of-fish trap and a quick-escape hatch – as well as their cleverly concealed stash of loot!

Construction Trucks and Wrecking Ball Crane

Join the LEGO® City construction workers at the demolition site. Use the barrier to cordon off the area, wheelbarrow the cute spider to safety and get to work. Lower the transporter’s ramps to deploy the wrecking ball crane. Swing the ball to demolish the old house. Then fit the bucket to scoop the rubble into the dump truck. When you’re done, load up your equipment and head to the next job.

Green Race Car

Gear up for high-speed fun with the LEGO® City Green Race Car. Get behind the wheel of this supercool racer and prepare for pedal-to-the-metal action! Make a tire-screeching start, zip around bends and whiz past the photographer to cross the finish line in record time! Then take a lap of honor with the winner’s trophy before heading to the next racetrack.

Car Wash

Head over the LEGO® City Car Wash. Drive through to activate the spinning washer brushes. Tip the dispenser to sprinkle the car with soapsuds. Then position the fans to dry your vehicle before driving round to top up your tire pressure at the pump. Washing your car has never been so much fun!

Space Explorers Pack

Construction Steamroller

Make new roads for the great vehicles of LEGO® City with the coolest steamroller in town. This mighty road machine has large chunky tires for ultimate grip and a big shiny drum for powerful road rolling. So put on your hard hat, hop aboard and roll like a pro. Let's go, construction hero!

Modified Race Cars

Get ready for hands-on, pedal-to-the-metal LEGO® 2KDRIVE action with the LEGO City Modified Race Cars set! Play out epic face-offs where you upgrade your vehicle as you race, just like the video game! Power up your ride with rocket boosters and propellers or slow down your rival with the element launchers. This set includes 2 race cars and 2 awesome race drivers.

Space Science Lab

Join the crew at the space science lab. Located on a planet rich with vegetation, this translucent-domed laboratory has all you need for futuristic exploration adventures, plus all the comforts of home. Head out on harvesting missions aboard the wheelchair-friendly space scooter. Grow alien plants in the botanical tower and conduct experiments to turn them into medicine, food and fuel. Have fun!

Street Skate Park

Grab your safety gear and head for the LEGO® City Street Skate Park. Choose from a BMX bike, skateboard, scooter or in-line skates. Switch and combine the ramps and equipment to perform all kinds of stunts and tricks. Grab the basketball and launch off at high speed for a flying dunk into the hoop! There’s even a room where you can enjoy a soda with your fellow skaters. This park is just awesome!

Ice-Cream Shop

Jump aboard the cargo bike and head over to the LEGO® City Ice-Cream Shop. Help the attendant serve delicious ice creams and milkshakes to happy customers. This parlor really is cool! It’s the perfect destination for a birthday party, with a neat ice-cream counter, blender, fridge and an outdoor seating area where friends and families can chill while they check out the menu.

Passenger Airplane

The LEGO® City Passenger Airplane is due for departure. The apron bus is on its way and it’s time to position the airstair to board the passengers. A catering truck is loading up food and beverages, the baggage handlers have arrived and the pushback tug is ready to wheel out the aircraft. On board the aisle is clear, and the seats and toilet are clean and ready. Prepare for takeoff!

Yellow Delivery Truck

Excitement is building in LEGO® City where pallets of playsets are ready for delivery. Hot dogs are selling like hotcakes as the team prepare the big yellow truck for departure. Open the trailer side panels and use the forklift to load the palletsof toys into the cargo bay. This truck is awesome: it even has a sleeper cab for long hauls! Now check your engine, hop aboard and head for the highway!

LEGO® City Downtown Fire Brigade Saves Burning Building!

There’s a huge fire at a new construction site in LEGO® City! A tipped-over porta-potty and lamppost started an electrical fire and the construction minifigures need help. Luckily the Fire Brigade is here with loud sirens and bright flashing lights to save the day! Use R.O.S.-T3 the ROV, a remotely operated vehicle, to enter the burning building at ground level and use its stud shooter to put out small fires. Once the lower levels are clear, the firefighters can use their tallest ladders and the pump system with water jet function to blast away the flames, and the helicopter can take care of the fire on the roof. Will the firefighters be able to team up and work together to put out the fire? Watch now and find out!

LEGO CITY Undercover introduces the newly added two-player cooperative mode that will allow friends and family to fight crime in LEGO CITY together for the first time. The trailer spotlights the game’s hero, super-cop Chase McCain, as he utilizes a myriad of clever disguises to go deep undercover and ultimately take down escaped criminal, Rex Fury. This open-world LEGO adventure will be available for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One®, Nintendo Switch™ and PC on April 4, 2017.
